Amazon FBA Cargo Labeling Procedure
Amazon FBA Cargo Labeling Procedure
I. Appearance Inspection
1. Upon arrival and unloading, if the outer packaging is found crushed or deformed, contaminated by liquid, or pierced by a sharp object, store it separately (in a visible spot on the ground beside that product's pallet for that country).
2. Cut along the original packaging seal with a utility knife and open the outer carton. Take out the suspected damaged packaging and visually inspect it (also check the SKU code).
3. For deformed or damaged items, replace with new packaging using the gift box provided by the customer (pay attention to accessory orientation), check the SKU code, and print a replacement if necessary.
4. Whether or not the product packaging is damaged or replaced, any outer carton that is deformed, soiled, or pierced must be re-reinforced or replaced. Reinforcement methods may include adding inner pads, corner protectors, or edge wrapping as appropriate.
5. Important procedures such as repackaging, labeling, and reinforcement must be completed in a designated video-monitored area and recorded for archival.
II. Application of FBA Country Labels
1. Operators must fully understand the meaning and differences of shipping marks such as 'DE', 'DE FBA', and 'DE EAN' (using DE as an example; other countries are similar).
2. Collect country marks according to the Cargo Operation Form, collected in one-to-one correspondence with the number of cartons.
3. Affix two country marks symmetrically at the upper-right corner of the narrow side of each carton.
III. Check the Product SKU Code
1. Basis: The SKU column in the Cargo Operation Form.
2. For each country and each product type, draw one carton, open it, and scan the SKU code on the product packaging (note that there may be several products on the same pallet).
3. After spot-check confirms no error, reseal the carton as original and place it back in its original location.
4. If a spot-check finds an error, customer service verifies the data on the Cargo Operation Form with the customer and the manufacturer.
5. If verified to be truly wrong, all products of that country and model must be opened and inspected. Enter the SKU inner-label replacement process.
6. Important correction and SKU inner-label replacement procedures must be completed in a designated video-monitored area and recorded for archival.
Special note: During manual spot-checks, pay attention to the difference between '0' and 'O', and between '1' and 'I'.
IV. Operations for Changing the Product Destination Country
1. Goods whose destination needs to be changed should be moved in batches to the operation platform (the platform must be kept dry and clean, and operators must wash and dry their hands).
2. The front desk prints SKU labels and country marks according to quantity; operators collect them by quantity.
3. Open the outer carton, take out the products and arrange them neatly, completely cover the original SKU mark with the new SKU barcode, with correct label position, centered, and no creases.
4. SKU codes damaged or creased during pasting must be collected and counted uniformly, then replaced at the front desk.
5. When placing products back into the outer carton, keep the same placement method as original, with consistent order and orientation, and keep SKU codes facing up as much as possible.
6. The SKU inner-label replacement procedure must be completed on the operation platform and recorded for archival.
V. Customs Clearance Related Information Labels
1. The customs clearance information label must include: consignee address, customs clearance entity, EU EORI number, national tax ID, and local logistics team contact information.
2. Operators affix one label on the front or side of each carton.
VI. FBA Warehouse Entry Labels
1. The front desk is responsible for FBA label production. For countries such as Europe, Japan, and Canada, barcodes can be generated by software and printed with a thermal printer; US FBA labels must be printed on adhesive labels and cut with a paper cutter.
2. The generated FBA labels must be arranged in order for operators to affix them easily.
3. Affix two FBA labels on the front or side of each carton. Paste them securely, centered, and clearly legible.
4. After the FBA labels are applied, move the pallet to the outbound area and deliver the original documents to the front desk.
